Amman or Aqaba — where is the next trip going?

Put your airport in the origin box, set the destination to Anywhere, and compare more than 1,200 airlines and booking sites in one search — the domestic hop, Europe and the rest of the world, all priced in dinars.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cheap Flights

November is the cheapest month in the fare data behind this page, with October and December sitting close on either side of it. Prices start climbing in March and reach their highest point in July and August, the weeks when Gulf-based Jordanians come home for the summer. Every route carries its own shape, so check the twelve-month chart here against your own dates before you fix them.

Eastern and Central Europe usually lead the destination cards, and Romania is the cheapest country on the board at the moment. Beyond it, Poland, Czechia, Italy, Hungary, Austria, France, Germany and Belgium all surface low, as does the domestic hop down to Aqaba — and the search itself reaches worldwide. The cards run on live fare data, so read them rather than this answer for where the money goes furthest today.

Both are possible, but Amman carries the overwhelming majority of Jordan's international traffic, so most trips starting in Aqaba involve a connection. Aqaba's own schedule is seasonal and leisure-weighted, strongest on Red Sea and domestic routes. Run the search from Aqaba, then run the same trip from Amman and compare: a connection instead of a nonstop usually changes the fare more than the date does, so the extra hours are worth weighing against what they save you.

No. Comparing is free and we add nothing to the price you see. When you pick a result you continue to the airline's or agency's own site and pay them directly, at the fare they published. We do not take the booking, hold your payment or issue the ticket — the seller does all three.

It depends entirely on the month you intend to fly. For July and August — the peak of the curve, when families return from the Gulf — book as early as you reasonably can, because seats on those routes go long before departure. For November, October and December, the low stretch, there is room to watch fares for a while. Around Ramadan and the two Eids, treat the dates as fixed and start looking early.

Prices on this page are displayed in Jordanian dinars. The purchase itself happens on the airline's or agency's site, and many of them bill in a different currency — payment is often processed in dollars or euros even when the fare was quoted to you in dinars. Check the billing currency on the final screen, because your bank's conversion and any foreign-transaction charge are applied on top of it.

A Practical Guide to Finding Cheap Flights Anywhere

Leaving the destination box on "Anywhere" from Amman

Nearly every international ticket bought in Jordan starts at Queen Alia, so for most travellers here the real question is not which airport but how far the budget will reach. Put Amman in the origin field, leave the destination on Anywhere, and TICKETS.JO queries more than 1,200 airlines and booking sites at once, then sorts what comes back from the lowest fare upward, in dinars. The destination cards on this page are the same idea held still: a running picture of where a ticket out of Jordan is currently cheap. Romania, Poland, Czechia and Hungary surface often; so do Italy, Austria, France, Germany and Belgium, and so does the domestic hop down to Aqaba — and the list is a starting point, not a boundary, because the search itself runs worldwide. Choose a result and you continue on the airline's or agency's own site. We compare and hand you over; we do not sell the ticket.

November is the floor, July and August the ceiling

Across the twelve months of fares behind this page, November is the cheapest month to fly out of Jordan — the single lowest point on the curve — with October just before it and December just after, which makes autumn the calmest stretch of the year for a Jordanian budget. From March the line starts climbing and does not stop: April and May sit well above the autumn floor, June higher still, and July and August at the very top. That peak is not an accident. It is the stretch when Jordanians working in the Gulf come home for the summer and the whole family flies together, and seats on the routes they use tighten months ahead of departure. January and February stay in the quieter half of the curve. The twelve-month chart on this page shows the shape month by month, so you can see where your own dates land before you commit to them.

What changes when you depart from Aqaba

Aqaba is Jordan's second departure point, and it does not behave like a smaller copy of Amman. Its airport serves the Red Sea end of the country — domestic traffic up to the capital, leisure demand in both directions, and a seasonal international schedule that is thinner than Amman's rather than a parallel to it. Two practical consequences follow. First, an Aqaba departure usually returns fewer nonstop options and more itineraries routed through Amman, so weigh total travel time and not only the fare. Second, the domestic Aqaba–Amman leg is regularly among the least expensive flights on the whole board, which makes it worth pricing as its own ticket next to a through fare instead of assuming the through fare wins. Put Aqaba in the origin field and run the same Anywhere search: results come back ordered by price, in dinars, reaching Europe, the region and the rest of the world.

What actually moves the price on routes out of Jordan

A small set of forces moves fares out of Jordan more than anything else: the calendar, which of the two airports you start from, how far ahead you book, and how many stops you will accept. Because almost all international demand here funnels through a single gateway, the calendar lands on the whole country at once. Ramadan and the days around both Eids drift through the Gregorian year, so they never sit in the same month twice running — and when they move, they move every Jordanian family's dates together, onto the same handful of routes out of Queen Alia. The Gulf-return summer works on the country the same way from July into August. Against all of that, one variable is entirely yours: flexibility. Moving a departure by a few days changes what the search returns more reliably than any booking folklore, and accepting one connection instead of a nonstop usually changes the fare more than the date does. Starting in Aqaba, price the domestic leg up to Amman separately as well — the two are not quoted as one.

Planning a trip out of Jordan, month by month

If your dates are open, work backwards from the curve. Autumn is where the money goes furthest — November above all, with October and December either side — so a trip you are able to move is a trip worth moving into that window. Winter stays reasonable through January and February. From March onward, assume you are buying into a rising market and book earlier than feels necessary, especially for July and August, when family travel fills the same flights everyone else is chasing. Around Ramadan and the two Eids the useful habit is the opposite of waiting: fix the dates early, then compare. For a short break, the domestic run to Aqaba and the nearer options — Cyprus, Egypt, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovakia — price out very differently across the year, and so do Romania, Poland and Czechia, and everywhere beyond them. Read the seasonality chart and the destination cards together: one answers when, the other answers where.
